As most everyone should know, this is my 3rd time to visit Brazil. Maybe you wonder what I do here and why I keep coming down here?
The honest truth is that I just hear the Lord speak and I obey. He keeps leading me to come back and one day I will be living here in Brazil. My heart is for kids and always has been. When I went to Cambodia at 16 years old, I heard the Lord say that one day I would be helping run a children’s home in Brazil. I’ve held that promise close since then.
When I met the Lycurgo family, I had no idea that this was something on their hearts as well! Since meeting them and coming to live with the family here in Natal, we have been making plans and getting things worked out in order that one day, hopefully soon, we could open up a children’s home. My deepest desire is to help them open this home and care for these treasures. Right now we have a lot to do and plan out but I am so excited to see what the Lord does through this, I have not forgotten His promise.
At the moment I have been helping the church in any way they need it. I have been singing on the worship team, in English and in Portuguese. (Which is fun) I have also been doing photography, filmography and video editing for the ministry. The church has also started a young adults, jovens, service once a week that I have the pleasure of attending and preaching at. We have also been able to get involved in another children’s home in Natal which we teach English at once a week. This is also something that we were doing the last time I was here. We have a lot going on and we know that the Lord has much more in store for this ministry. We are going to change this city for God.
The last time I was here in Natal, I had the honor of being ordained by the ministry I’m working with, Defense of Faith Ministries Int’l. This trip has held a lot of different experiences simply because of this change. I find myself having more opportunities in ministry and allowing the Lord to do great things through me! There is so much to look forward to but there is also much to do right now. Thankfully HIS grace is more than enough.
Thank you for being a part of this journey and taking the time to be a part of my adventures as the Lord leads me around the world.
